Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a powerful new psychotherapy based on cutting-edge research into how the human mind works. It has been clinically proven to be successful in a wide range of psychological problems. First, it helps you develop psychological skills to deal with your difficult thoughts and feelings far more effectively so they have much less impact and influence over you. Secondly, this therapy helps you clarify what’s important and meaningful to you, and uses that knowledge to motivate making changes or creating goals.
I have a Honours Degree in Psychology, and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy.
In therapy, I aim to be non-judgmental, respectful, compassionate, empathic, receptive, mindful and professional.
I adhere to the National Counselling Society code of ethics.
